The virus was discovered in 1996, but the information provided very little research is still underway to find out more. And information currently available may change with the emergence of research findings.

Modes of transmission
Through the blood, and may be much like a transmission of hepatitis C virus (c) Hepatitis C.

Percentage of occurrence and symptoms
Its incidence is estimated at 0.3% or 3 cases per 1000 cases of acute liver inflammation. It is believed that the cause of 900 to 2000 cases of viral infection per year, mostly without symptoms and that the rate of 90-100% of patients become chronically infected, but rarely causes disease in chronic severe disadvantages compared with other hepatitis viruses.

Ways of transmission

  • Drug abuse by injection
  • Coincided with the multiplicity of infection with hepatitis C virus (c) Hepatitis C
